According to an article in Mobile Commerce World, Smartphone shipments should grow from 3.5 million units in 2002 to some 45 million units by 2007 with Microsoft OS to dominate a full 40% of those devices.
"Symbian is currently the most used OS for high-end smartphones, with a 60 per cent share in 2002, but this is expected to fall to 39 per cent by 2007. "
