Well, my wife finally dragged me kicking and screaming to the Mobile Phone store for yet another device to attach to my hip.
"I can never get a hold of you," she would say sympathetically.
"Well, that's the point!" was my quick reply. Which may also explain why I have to eat Ramen Noodles every night for dinner....
What phone did I settle on? The Ericcson T68i with the bluetooth built in. Actually, This little phone made me a quick convert. It is so packed with features, I haven't even learned them all. SMS, email, web...Connecting to the phone from a bluetooth enabled iPAQ took about 5 minutes to figure out and allowed full Internet access including home email and web browsing!
Our friends over at Smart Softworks were quickly able to help by sending a copy of their excellent Smart GSM software which allowed me to easily sync my contact list to the phone. But not only that, I can now pester everyone who has SMS capabilites with little messages I wrote from the iPAQ. Not to mention, it also lets me compose my own ringtones!
My only complaint with the phone is that the fees to connect to the network are pretty steep. And the SMS fees are 10 cents a message. I guess that's the cost of being 'wired'
