According to an article in Australian IT News, our friends in Australia prefer iPAQs to Palms! Not only that, Toshiba is quickly catching up as the number two handheld, ranking currently as number five.
"COMPAQ has finally overtaken Palm as the Australian PDA market's top dog, taking advantage of a weak retail sector that has traditionally been Palm's home turf.
According to researchers Inform, Compaq held 33.7 per cent of the total PDA market in October, compared to Palm's 33.4 per cent. Palm held just over 37 per cent of the market in September. "
