Moorpark, CA – July 15, 2002 – QualityLogic Inc. announced today an agreement with Hewlett-Packard Company wherein QualityLogic’s authorized Pocket PC 2002 Logo Testing Lab will standardize on Compaq iPAQ products as a baseline for logo testing. QualityLogic administers testing for Microsoft’s “Designed for Windows for Pocket PC 2002” logo program. The program allows end-users to easily identify software products that are compatible with Microsoft Windows Powered Pocket PC 2002 devices and that incorporate new functionality featured in Pocket PC 2002, where applicable.Under the agreement, HP will provide iPAQ 3800, 3700 and 3100 Series models and accessories for use in testing Pocket PC 2002 applications. “The new HP provides a vast selection of iPAQTM Pocket PC products and wireless connectivity, with a broad range of industry support and compatibility with products supporting the iPAQ platform,” said Cindy Box, director of product marketing for HP Smart Handhelds. “We’re pleased to team with QualityLogic to support the ‘Designed for Windows for Pocket PC 2002’ logo program.”
QualityLogic’s mobility test lab in Bellevue, WA, will receive the PDAs. James Mater, President and CEO, QualityLogic, stated, “The addition of the iPAQ equipment will allow QualityLogic to test Microsoft ISV’s applications with the most popular Pocket PC implementation available today.” Mater continued, “QualityLogic has a long history of providing state-of-the-art testing services, and this agreement with HP is instrumental in helping us continue in that tradition.”
