Almost everyone who upgraded or uses the PocketPC2002 OS, is familiar with the popping and cracking noises on iPAQ devices. This annoying sound typically occurs when system sounds are played. Reminders, alerts and placing your iPAQ into a docking cradle can result in these hair raising crackles and Pops.
Compaq has released a fix for this problem (download below). We will try it today and report back on what we find.
