Interesting concept on the little speaker line. These not only swivel the sound upward toward your face while you work at a desk. But they also have a "button that glows different colors for different control functions" via engadget
Any comments?
Well, they look ok, but couldn't see price info. I guess it would really depend on the price as well as the sound quality.
The spelling on the site is horrible, unless you plan to summit your plam for upgrating to this speaker.
I actually give them props since this is clearly designed by a non-english speaker for getting so much of it right.
I currently use JBL On Tour portable speakers to hook into my PPC for audiobook listening, they cost about $100, but are pretty cool, and an easy to carry design.
I also just bought the Virgin Mobile BoomTube speakers on Woot, to give as a gift this holiday season.
I could not tell if the parts fit together to make one package for portability. That's what I like about the JBL speakers, one little unit with a cable and they work great from batteries or from an AC adapter.
Yeah, I really like the JBL speakers. They seem quite clear and robust for something so small.
I haven't tried out the BoomTube yet...I haven't received it. And, I'm supposed to give it as a gift, so I don't know if I will hear them before the holidays. (Depends on the packaging...if it can be opened without making it look "used" I might try them out first.)
I don't think I would switch from my JBL tho, they are smaller and weigh less, and fit quite nicely in the briefcase where I store all of my portable devices.
