Pocket PC magazine's Best Software Awards - the most comprehensive awards for Pocket PC and Smartphone software - is now in its fifth year; and the 2005 Nominees have just been announced!
New Products Editor, Diane Dumas, and the 2005 Board of Experts have selected the nominees from Pocket PC magazine's exhaustive Encyclopedia of Software and Accessories. Over 493 Nominees, in 122 categories have been selected. Nominations are now open to public comment until July 15, 2005 when they will be frozen.

These nominations are frozen on July 15, 2005, and only products and versions released by July 15, 2005 are eligible for the voting.
Eighty-three experts in Pocket PC and Smartphone software from around the world help select the nominations and then vote for winners. These experts are prominent Web Sites associates, Microsoft MVPs, support forum contributors, and Pocket PC magazine contributors. These are all volunteers and none who vote are employed by Pocket PC magazine.
Developer Software nominations are determined by a team of experts
headed by Christian Forsberg of www.businessanyplace.nethttp://www .businessanyplace.net/ and Bob Katayama of www.han-d-solutions.comhttp://www.han-d -solutions.com/ .
The Board of Experts cast votes to determine the winners. Winners and finalists are the top vote getters. These experts also submit comments about the software for publication in 2006 issues of Pocket PC magazine.
