"Business Contacts for Pocket PC is a program that allows you to synchronize your business contacts and a subset of your communication history to your Microsoft Windows Mobile Pocket PC device."
If you're using Outlook 2003 with the Business Contact Manager add-in, you'll probably want to check this out. I have no idea how well it works, so for those of you who play with it, report back and let us know. ... Read More.. Anyone tried this?
Hi Brad,
Have played with it and its a typical microsoft PPC app, only just gives you what you want , but nothing to shout about.
Its a bit like ACT but microsofts version and its networkable via exchange, it would be very usefull to me as i use outlook quite heavily.
I think it may be more of a teaser to get the PIM developer's (Developerone and Webis) out there to do a propper job of it, well at least i hope so.
SO COME ON DEVELOPERONE AND WEBIS WHAT CAN YOU DO FOR US.
Kev....
You have an interesting perspecitve on it being a teaser app. The first thing I thought of when you mentioned webis and developerone was that the Microsoft app probably adds another database entry to the PPC that's hidden in memory, much like the Poom/Pocket Outlook database.

Hi Brad,
the reason i say teaser is because they never seem to put all there effort into something the first time, its as if there testing the water to see if people are interested and go from there, or wait for Webis etc to do a propper job.
On your second point yes i think it is another datasbase, i know when i set it up on the pc it created another database to hold the information.
When you explore the PPC via activsync in the root there is a folder called Databases in this folder is a new database called BCMcontacts.
this i think is where the info is held, so there's no reason why other people couldnt use this info, well lets hope so.
I would like to hear from Webis or developerone on what they think on this, or anyone.
