Just updated my X50v and it improves on the poor screen tap response issue, so is worth the update.

Brad
Having had bad experiences in the past with restores I always do clean installs of the applications after a hard reset.
The whole process only took me about half hour, including all my software re-installs.

A half hour isn't bad to get a fresh, quick and more functional OS.

I love a fresh ROM install. Clean out the grombies and plant the seasons crop. Crisp and responsive OS again.

I'm waiting for a few more stories about problems and solutions. The update seems worthwhile but I'm not really up to the whole restart/reinstall scene right now. Maybe in another week.

How much stuff did you restore using sprite? You can run into some problems if you restore some system components over a ROM update.

Long url is busting the display

The long url on this post is busting the display on the site. It's not word-wrapping and the central column is taking up all the room and the third column is scrolling off to the right.

Everything, SPB Pocket plus, I can't think of anything I would consider a system component.

This has just alerted me to the fact that there is a ROM update for my Ipaq 1940 too. Hadn't thought to look before, so I'll have to give that a try later.
After reading the installation instructions, it seems fitting that a Microsoft OS would take at least 20 minutes to install, even if it is only 15Mb.
I've never installed a MS OS in less than half an hour before so at least that's an improvement.
