Do VGA devices have an issue with their direction/touchpads?

Button lag is when the device user experiences a significant delay between pressing a devices hardware button and the action being represented on screen.
This issue is most noticable when playing games of an action genre.
So far I have identified (by searching PPC forums) that the following devices have significant button lag issues:
Toshiba E805

There is a slight lag in response when using the d-pad, but you'll only notice this when playing games that require close timing. When I played Hexacto's Bounty Hunter Pinball, the few milliseconds made a difference between getting good action off of the flippers vs. having the ball roll out of play.

Yeah there is button lag. At first I didn't think there was much of a lag, especially compared to my E755, but I guess I was playing less intensive games. Once I tried some platform titles where precise timing is key you notice the lag.

Yes, there is a lag... playing games with the buttons (i.e. Morphgear [Gameboy Emulator]) is not satisfatory - unfortunately. Maybe there can be a fix in the future.

The 5-directional navigation pad is located traditionally under the screen. We tested it with the latest version of the emulator MorphGear, the pad didn't fail working good in 8 directions without delays. However the buttons didn't look that good, there was a certain lag (a delay after a button is pressed) like in Toshiba e800. The delay lasts for a fraction of a second, but it's a crucial point in games, especially when the hero shoots or jumps in the wrong time. Gamers should pay a special attention to this moment. In other aspects the buttons are quite comfortable featuring an average size and the press response.

The trackpad is very simple to use. I find that it is possible to carry out basic tasks without using the stylus. Playing games that is a little harder on the touchpad but I have managed GTS Racing (fairly easy) and Space Combat (easy). The trackpad has 2 operation modes; a traditional navigator or cursor. The cursor mode is exactly the same experience to using a laptop with a trackpad.

The Pad of the iPaq is really inconvenient, and what's more, when you hold it sideways you constantly have some involontary input, because you're holding it by the pad.
Asus 730
However PDAgold has reported:

If you are a passionate gamer, you will be satisfied with the Asus. Although none of the games I use for testing is optimised for the VGA resolution, playing them was enjoyable. The scroller Z-Raid was perfectly playable (I reached my personal record, occasional jerky motion tolerable. Anthelion was even better, absolutely seamless throughout. The well-designed joypad contributes significantly to the gaming experience. I got used to its irregular shape very quickly. Add large buttons positioned far enough from the joypad and you get an ideal gaming machine.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues (e.g. Toshiba E830) or is your new VGA device working perfectly. Let us know by posting your comments.
