According to this article http://www.arnnet.com.au/index.php/i...5;fp;16;fpid;0 its seems that there has been a well established generalised slow down in worldwide PDA sales since 2001.
This article made me wonder why this is so.......
It is interesting to note that HP has had steady growth in its sales. I think from a functional point of view there is not much difference between the myriad of different Pocket PC's. Are people seduced by iPAQ's being sexy? I know I was.
I also think as laptops get smaller and more portable and with the development of ultra-portables such as the Sony U70 recently reviewed by Jkendrick, PDA's are slowly being squeezed from the market.
Do people agree with the comment in the article that:
"The handheld of the 1990s is the same as the handheld of the 2000s in that it hasn't really evolved"?
Are PDA's going to morph into ultra-portables?
