Hello!!! I am an amateur photographer based in London, I Love to capture nature from very close. I have been using Nikon FM-2 since 1995 which I purchased from one of my friends. I have been using Internet most of time for shopping as it is the most convenient way to sit back into my study room and enjoy shopping online but sometime it could really put you in trouble when you come across different brands and numerous sites. I am intended to purchase a Nikon D-100. Now what I need to know is to buy from a site with good price and satisfactory services. There are plenty of online shops in UK e.g. jesopps.com and www.Microglobe.co.uk , Bristol Technology - Transaction Tracking End-To-End and All Points In-Between etc, What’s the thing that really make it convenient to identify the real one.
I'm so glad you asked this question because there are so many online vendors posing as the "real thing" with actually really bad service and delayed deliveries...and too often have I heard of people getting scammed by these kind of sites.
Personally, I highly endorse ordering from B&H Photo Video - bhphotovideo.com. Looks like they deliver internationally and if you're curious as to what the ordering rules are, you can find them here. They are both reliable, reputable and offer competitive prices. I hope this helps!
Hi, amsurfer ! I agree with Jane Lee...
My son purchased some accessories from a website that looked american but was in Hong Kong... no wonder they didn't have next day delivery!!!
And I've also had problems with websites that end up being headaches.
B&H, on the other hand, is a wonderful real-time store (according to my mother, who knows nothing about cameras but had to buy a Nikon F1 with telephoto lens for an overseas cousin three months ago) as well as a webstore!
So, as the parrot in the commercial says (you probably haven't heard it, but imagine the most raucous voice screeching it out over scratchy AM radio) : You go to B&H !!!
What about Amazon.com? I have ordered everything under the sun from there and am amazed at their very fast delivery. I don't know about what cameras they currently offer. But I personally would shop there if I was looking to purchase a camera. I also am not familiar with international shipping from Amazon.
If the product I wanted was offered from a seller on Amazon other than directly from Amazon, I check their ratings and make a decision. I've also taken a chance on a new seller with not much feedback and still have never been disappointed at Amazon.
