I have an IPAQ 2215 that is about 5 years old. It has the original battery. I no longer use an adapter but use a usb cable that also allows me to sync it. The USB cable is of questionable origin and quality.
Sometimes when I start it the backlight will not come on. It will do this for a day or so then go away.
What should I do? I like the pda - have grown to depend on it. Is it likely that an old battery is the culprit - maybe a short in it?
most of these ipaqs have lithium ion batteries.. charge it up all the way.. and drain it all the way to 0% and do that a few times and let it charge all the way up and see how well it does.. it could be a bad part inside.. mine did that and there was a bad cap in it (capacitor)
