I have a couple of ipaqs that I use constantly....truly an addict! I just purchased a 4 gig sandisc sdhc card and put music and pics on it. When I put it in the hx 2495.....the card doesn't even show up in file explorer. Do I need to download different firmware in order for it to be recognized?
if its a HD sd card it prolly wont read it.. there should be a reset button on your device (mines on the bottom right corner) stick the stylus in it and reset it with the card in it and open wmplayer and look for the songs.. thats what i had to do..
as stated, your unit only supports standard SD memory v1.1... SDHC is v2.0 and is not supported. not to get too techy, but when the unit IDs the SD card for usage, SDv1.1 sends a 12-bit ID, SDHCv2.0 sends a 16-bit ID... there is no way that I've found, to get SDHC to read in a standard SD slot...
I guess the right hacker could develop a driver overlay that could convert the 16-bit ID to 12-bit... the four extra bits just give sector size specs...
