Pocket PC Device ID/Name after hard boot

How do i retain the device name i set after a hard boot because it always reset it back to its default device name. Is their a way to do it?

No, a hard reset puts everything back to original settings.

you mean we cant do any registry tweaks to change the default device name to the one being set before taking a hard boot?

If you know how to cook and install roms I guess you could cook your own with the setting that you want. Beyond that I don't know how you would do this.

i was able to retain the device name sucessfully by exporting the registry to the non volatile folder of the handheld device.
