I have a HP 6945 and also a 6515. I purchased a third party extended hour battery for each of them. When I installed the battery my units don't recognize the battery. I seems to run just fine, but since it does not recognize the battery it does not know when the thing is running low on charge and needs to be recharged. Even when I plug the units into the cradle for charging it won't charge unless the battery is so low it is shutting down all the time. Very frustrating. Anyone have either a fix to the current Power program or another power program that will recognize these third party batteries?
