I was hoping someone might offer insight into the problems I have developed on my 8525. First, I am not sure it is a software or hardware problem, but here goes. I bought a new 8525 on Ebay and began using it immediately with no problems. Then a couple of weeks ago, the phone developed "tics" when the Start button started to go up and down without me touching the screen. I soft booted several time and even removed the battery, but it continued. So I gave the phone a hard boot and the phone reloaded the ROM, but when it wanted to align the screen, I couldn't do it because the screen wouldn't recognize when I touched it. Then a second problem arose when the Today screen bullied all other screens that I would call up like the Contacts, Calender and even the phone. As soon as I called up the Contact screen, the phone would pop to the Today immediately after. So after hard booting it several times more, I decided to update the ROM to the 2.15.502.3 version and the problems seem to end, But as soon as I touch the screen, it stops letting me touch the screen so I am stuck using the keys, which is a bit slow going. I can soft boot and/or remove the battery and the problem repeats itself. I hard booted the phone several time also and the same problem arises. Can anyone offer advice in correcting my problem. thank you in advance.
I am no expert at this, but since your problems can't really get any worse I would just go to xda developers site, pick out a wm6 rom that you like and find good reviews on and just install that over what you have now which is obviously giving you problems...that's what i would do at least. since hard resetting it didnt help at all.

Also I can now unlock the GPS chip in the 8925 and install GPS software with maps as well
