I just received my 8525. Does anyone know how to change the setting so that when I go to the internet it will only go to my wireless network and not through the Cingular access? I do not want to pay cingular for the transfers and have wireless access almost everywhere I go.

What you can do is if you are in a wifi hotspot you might want to turn-on your wifi and connect to it.
Another suggestion is if you have auto config on your GPRS, you can try to delete this connection so that everytime your device need an internet connection it will not connect automatically via GPRS connection..

I called cingular and had them totally disable all access points. Be very clear that you only want internet disabled though. Cingular reps have a listening problem. I called and told them I wanted all internet totally disabled on my account and the extremely friendly rep put me on hold for about 5 minutes to work her magic to come back on the line and say "ok, you have absolutely no TEXT MESSAGING on your account now!" She fixed it but WTF???? LOL!
So, now the only connectivity I can possibly have is through a wifi hotspot or my own wireless network at home. If you are having trouble, HTC is a huge help and they will help you if you are having difficulty connecting to varoius routers.
