Is there such a thing? Something that would plug into your ppc much like an external HD? Like, kind of a flash drive but would connect to your PPC using bluetooth, etc?
firestar - I have been looking for something simlar for the last twelve months that I have had my PPC without success. As far as I'm aware it relates to the lack of drivers for reading external media and also connections for this device. The HTC type devices have the mini USB, however not drivers.
There are options available for devices to read the memory of your device, but not as far as I'm aware to do it in reverse. I hope I'm wrong, but I haven't found anything.

External harddrive usually use the USB and firewire connections. In this matter the pocket pc device must support USB host, so that it can accept any devices that support by the default driver of the windows mobile.
The only pocket pc that I saw applicable to this is the Dell Axim X50 series chich supports both CF and SD card.
Now there is an CF card accessories for USB 1.1 Host Adapter CF Card

USB host function was a common feature on the late, lamented Toshiba models (requiring an adapter to provide a standard host port). I think some of the FS Pocket Loox models still have this functionality. WM drivers for external media are still required and often not available.
Any PPC model with a CF slot should support the Ratoc card and drivers. I have successfully used the combo of a Toshiba and the Ratoc mass storage driver to access a number of USB storage devices (sorry, no support CD or DVD drives). There is no SD equivalent at this time.
If memory serves, there is a bluetooth-connectable external hard drive on the horizon. I can't pull any details out of my cobwebbed brain cells, but there is a foggy memory of seeing a news item a few months ago on this. Or am I remembering a wifi-accessible drive? Again, though, the drivers for WM will be a hurdle.
Well what you know there are other pocket pc devices out there that supports this kind of feature.
I think its via wifi connection the one that you are talking about yankeejeep! i saw it some months ago at aximsite, he uses a asus portable harddrive with wifi connection.
