I can't send files via BlueTooth on my 8125. I checked the Ports setting and there is an infrared port listed for sending and receiving, but no option for adding a new port. The manual talks about that, but I can't find it on the device. I did a hard reset and this port is still not there. Is there a known software bug with the O/S? Any help would be appreciated. Again, I selected /Settings/Connections/Bluetooth/ComPorts and there is no listing for Add New Outgoing Port. There is an option for Add New Incoming Port. I think there is a bug in the O/S.
Where are you trying to send files to? your using your 8125 to send files somewhere else? if thats the case then it might just be the other device your trying to connect with. if its a computer the computer has to be blue tooth enabled.
Unfortunately that is NOT the case. There is no send via bluetooth option when I select a file to send to anyone (another 8125). All of the 8125 devices that I have (about 8 of them) none have an outgoing port to send via bluetooth. Is Cingular removing the send via bluetooth option to force people to send via email. If so, is this legal? The 8125 has the option to do this I am sure, but on the ones we have it just is not there. Does anyone that has an 8125 send files via bluetooth to any other device? That is what I am trying to find out, because NONE of the ones I have seen so far are able to do that. They will only receive. HELP!!!
1) you have your bluetooth turned on
2) the other device has bluetooth turned on and is broadcasting it's bluetooth signal, so that it is discoverable
all you have to do is choose to "Beam file" and after a few seconds or so, it'll start to list bluetooth devices as it discovers them. it will list them below the infrared.
im going to try this right now i was trying to send parts of mp3 to my friend in school today for the first time via bluetooth and i was shocked to see that there is no option to send via bluetooth...ill bback with the results
