When I try to access a website which has a video on it, such as google video or youtube.com, i get an error message which prevents me from viewing the video. The exact error message reads as follows: Script Alert ActiveX downloading please refresh. I have refreshed many times but still not able to solve the problem. I also downloaded the up to date flash player for pocket pc's (from adobe.com) but still no luck. Any suggestions guys?

Hi johnnysu,
Unfortunately, you won't be able to view google/youtube videos with your Pocket PC due to the fact that the browser doesn't support it. Maybe later in the future, these guys [google, youtube] will have mobile support!
Hi Jane, thanks for the reply, though I am confused. I actualy have seen it done before. Story is someone showed me the phone once and how "cool" it is, they showed me videos of someone playing the piano on youtube and so forth. How do you think he got it to work?

That's interesting... I know that youtube has mobile support as far as uploading videos, but Pocket PC users were still unable to view from their Pocket PC.
You friend most likely converted the file first... here's a link that will help you do the conversion: TCPMP
Thanks I'll look into it. It's just that my father purchased the phone for one reason and one reason only. That is to moniter his business from anywhere in the world. But when I atempt to access the website it always gives me that error message and fails to load the live stream video (which I have seen someone do). Anyways thanks and wish me luck.

gotcha... well there's another app that might be helpful but I'm not completely sure that it has Pocket PC support - Replay A/V
you have been of great help, i'll continue my research and hope to learn more..
BTW, I'm awaiting a phone call from Microsoft regarding this issue. Apparently this is a familiar issue but only their windows mobile tech engineers are able to help me. So they told me to expect a phone call sometime tomorrow evening.
No problem, glad to help. I spent countless hours on the phone all the way from Cingular to HTC (manufacturer of phone) to Microsoft Support. But in the end it was all worth it, and best of all, none of you have to sit through what I have been through in order to finally get this to work. Enjoy everyone!

Has it worked for you? I've tried it on YouTube and Google video but no dice...
Search for a program called GeoVision MS Smart Phone Viewer. Download and install it on your phone, although I'm not sure if it's free or not. Once you have it downloaded, open the program, type in your server address, username, pasword, and connect!
Did you download the GeoVision MS Smart Phone Viewer? If you did and correctly typed in the server address and so forth, then honostly don't know what to tell you buddy. I mean does it give you some kind of an error message or something? Are you connecting through the phone's line or Wi-Fi?
Give me a while but I'm planning to write a tutorial on how to get it to work, full of pics, and links where you can download the necessary software. I'm moving back into college so things are a bit hectic for me now. But as soon as I have the time, I will get started.
See if you can put in an update over at www.solsie.com as there's a reference there to this forum thread...I think you'll be thanked if you can crack and document this...
