I've had a Compaq H3800 for a few years now but I have never connected it to the net with a mobile phone. How do I do it? Do I need to buy an expansion pack with a modem or will modern phones do the modem bit. I almost bought a PDA phone just to save the headache but I may be jumping the gun.

If you feel that you will be using the internet a lot, I'd recommend getting a PDA phone. Not only will you be getting everything in one, you'll also be getting an updated version of Windows Mobile with enhanced features. Let us know what your decision will be!

A delayed thanks for your reply to my post. I took the decision to upgrade to a PDA Phone and went for the HTC Hermes in its Orange SPV guise (Orange are offering some pretty competetive deals with their mobile/broadband packages at the moment). I'm very happy with it so far and it's great to be able to get odd bits of info off the net whenever you need them. Cheers again, thanks for your work on this great site, the tips and tricks are fantastic.
