Can't find solution in forum (although I think I browsed upon one here a while ago). Even when I close all open applications, my iPaq starts back up within a few minutes.

Any solutions out there?
Thank you.

Close you mean by tapping the X mark? if it is then you're actually not closing the application you are just minimizing it and its still running in background/reside in the memory.
You can check it in your settings - Memory and you will find all the current application that is running. Why not use SPB Pocket Plus, its a great tool that can be set-up to actually close the application when you tap the X mark not to mention a good today plug-in.

Sorry about not making myself clear. Am not just minimizing the apps but close them by clicking on the memory icon, selecting the open apps tab and close all.
I then power down the unit but it restarts by itself.
Your iPAQ never actually "shuts down" as it needs to stay on standby for reminders and alarms to come in. Does anything appear on the screen when it turns back on? When you say it restarts itself does the HP logo appear as it loads?

Hi Tim,
It is the "today" screen that reappears. (I guess this is analagous to a PC's desktop) There are no reminders, alarms or calendar entries popping up. The unit's screen comes back on within 60-90 seconds or so after I press the on/off button on the upper right hand corner of the unit. I do not have to re-logon when this happens.
