OMG! I stuck the PDA in for charge/sync, and I see it asked me to do the align screen, and you know the rest. now to reinstall the programs again-ARRRGGG. what do I do? I have very important information there.
where do i look to find the files that it synced?
it does sync them both on the PDA and the comp?
is my SD card erased as well?
how the heck could this happen?
I sync everyday, and charge everyday, please tell me the files are duplicated on my comp!
btw, i have a shortcut on the desktop but when i open that up and search in the folders, there is nothing.
gosh, this is so unreliable. another MS problem? i'll give up on PDA's if this will constantly happen...

HI! Sorry for any delay in responding to you!
There is both good and bad news for you, but first some questions...
What device are you using?
How long have you had it?
Was OS are you running?
Did you ever back up your system? (using activesync, a built in program or 3rd party software)
To answer as best I can:
To sync your PPC back to your computer, complete the initial set up of your device until you get to the Today screen. Then connect the sync cable. ActiveSync will start, and you will be asked to create a new partnership. Choose a new device name, and your data will then sync to the PPC.
At that point, you will find out how much is still there and how much is gone.
The good news is that your SD card should be just fine. If you have a card reader on your PC, you should be able to just pop it in there and see all of your files.
You have not indicated what type if information you had stored there, or what you hope to recover. Your PIM data should transfer from Activesync, but actual files would be gone, unless you backed them up and you can restore from a back up file.
