Ipaq 3600 problem

I did a hard reset on my Ipaq 3600 and dont know what I've done, but something doesnt sound right here. I did the HR while pressing both the outer application button, then simulateously pressing and holding the soft reset button. Waited for the screen to go blank then when i released the buttons I got that red sort of Compaq Screen, this is the screen that appears when u do a soft reset. Now it just stays on that screen, and has been on it for the past 15 mins and refuses to boot back into its OS. I've tried to do a softreset to clr things but sorry no luck. Looks like the Ipaq is jammed.

Do another hard reset, it sounds odd, usually a hard reset is performed by holding both the soft reset and power button...Is that what you're doing?

Try removing the batteries and let it stand for a while. Its has been awhile but I seem to remember this happening to me.

Actually the 3600 is hard reset by holding the outer two buttons and soft resetting at the same time. I remember it was a pain to do. Another attempt probably would be helpful.

The 3600 batteries are in the case...requiring a torx 6 screwdriver to reach.

If you want to disconnect the battery on a H3600, look at the bottom of the device, then between the power input aon the left and the main connector there is a little slid open catch which will revel a dip switch to disconnect the battery.
If you flik the switch to the right it will discon the battery then back again to connect it.
Hope this helps.
Kev...
