Say does anybody know if a Toshiba E8(whatever number supported now is it 5 or 30 :? ) is due to be released with WM2003SE and bluetooth (along with the present WIFI).
I'm starting to guess that Ipaq are not going to release an new 5555 class or higher (not the H6300 ) spec device that will support the existing software/sleeves.
So I figure a new manufacturer/device may be in order with a better than 5555 spec (and price).
Essentially I'm looking for:
128+mg Ram
Bluetooth compatibility (to collect to e-mail/internet when travelling)
WIFI (for improved network access, where available, I'm in the UK )
Intel PXA255 Processor or better
Optional replaceable high powered external battery
'Arm' software compatibility
VGA screen support
SDIO card support
By the way has anybody thought about posting a comparison chart of the latest devices e.g. toshiba, Dell, HP, MiTAC, Asus etc. (just a thought) I've some comparisions on other web sites, but they seem a little old.

To err is human, but to really foul things up you need a computer.
The rumored e830 has just the specs you've quoted with the addition of the 520 mhz CPU. Details of this device leaked out and it's significant that Toshiba did not deny them in the one press article they gave as a result of the leak.
The rumor gave a July timeframe for it's release.
Surprisingly I've never owned an iPAQ but am on my third Toshiba. My experience with Toshiba devices has been quite pleasant (obviously).

Hmmm! the news seems to be a little quiet on the E830 front.
The rumours about the discontinuation of the E800's in the USA are a bit disconcerting as well, has the pick rate really been that slow?

Toshiba is like HP and never discusses unreleased hardware. We won't hear anything from them until they make the press release at launch time.
e800s are in short supply because they are selling so many of them.

Now that's what I want to hear! I really don't want to buy another device only to find out that it's not supported by the manufacturer six months after my purchase.

Whether a device is selling or not doesn't mean it won't be supported in 6 months. Large OEMs will support a device pretty much for it's lifetime.
