It's my understanding that the 'Arm' processor tends to have the best support from developers, as it is more prolific in it's use by manfacturers.
Personally I thing the Ipaq 3970 is the bee's knees' as a gaming handheld. Just checkout the size of the Dpad and it is compatible with a HUGE!! amount of games and applications
IMHO the majority of devices either have poor processor power/graphics utilisation or tiny/awkward shaped d-pads.
