Extensive LCD Damage?

I had an accident a few days ago where I landed on my side with my phone and pocket pc in my pocket.
The unit powers on, and I can view all the data on the device through active sync, but the LCD is absolutely buggered.
Can any of you with previous experience/expertise give me a rough approximation of how extensive this damage is? And would it be worth the cost of repair (if it's high), or is it a realitively common problem with these delicate devices and the cost of repair minimal?
Thanks for your help.

NOT GOOD

You might be screwed on this one, but ill let someone who has a better grasp on the cost tell you that. Most likely its not gonna be worth it to replace the LCD, but like i said, im sure someone else out here knows better than i do. I bought my iPAQ h5555 at comp usa and got the $99 Tap It program, basically it covers my device for two years from accidental damage as well as your normal "ohh shit, what has happened now!" stuff. If you do get a new one, its not a bad deal, especially since in two years you can throw it on the ground and since the models out now wont be out then youll get a credit and its basically an upgrade(thats what the guy at compusa told me, but of course the company itself wont promote it that way for obvious reasons). Good luck.
