Our friends at brighthand have some information about the new Bluetooth GPS Kit from ASUS that should make bluetooth enabled GPS fans mouths water. PROPortable is currently carrying the device which offers The Hollux receiver offers 12 parallel satellite-tracking channels for fast acquisition and reacquisition, plus a built-in rechargeable battery. Cost: $225.00
If I traveled a lot and needed GPS, I think bluetooth connected would be the way to go. However, this one doesn't come with mapping software. So there'd be an additional investment for that.
I recently purchased a Delorme Earthmate Bluetooth GPS and Power pack. Not only did it come with lots of cables, but I also got Street Atlas 2K4 and Street Atlas 2K4 Handheld. I paid $319 and shipping for it. It works great for in-car navigation, and I've succesfully used it with my PPC and laptop.
I haven't seen any other models that touch the Delorme with all the accessories that I got with it.
