TDS Recon Rugged PDA Review

If $2,000+ Pocket PCs are your thing, then this review over at TrustedReviews is for you. They have put the TDS Recon Rugged PDA through some drops, kicks and punches to make sure it really holds up to it's "Rugged" title. Hey, even if you aren't into rugged Pocket PCs you need to look at the review. They have some animated gifs of them dropping the TDS Recon from about 4 feet onto a brick sidewalk and one where they pour about 2 gallons of water over it. I've heard rumors that they yelled profanity at it for over 20 minutes and called it hurtful names - yet it still works!
Computer hardware is becoming faster, lighter and more advanced with every passing day, but it's not really getting tougher. In fact, should we drop our newly purchased, cutting edge equipment, the look of resignation and horror on our faces tells us that we expect it to be broken. Of course, we try not to deliberately put ourselves in situations that could damage our prized equipment, but for some people this is a daily hazard that can’t be avoided.
