Gadgeteer Hands On Review : Toshiba e805 Pocket PC

The Gadgeteer has posted a review of the Toshiba e805. This is a really GREAT review....The review contains a bunch of comparison screens to show you the difference between the normal screen resolution and the Toshiba's 640 x 480 resolution. All I can say is WOW! Look at the difference in the amount of information that you can view!
Summary
It's really hard not to love this device. A gorgeous display, tons of memory, 2 expansion slots, and built in WiFi make it a true power users PDA. To me it feels more like a mini tablet PC than just a Pocket PC. I can see myself taking this device along on a trip and leaving Mini-me at home. That said, the e805 isn't without its faults... It is a bit large for my personal PDA tastes, and can be a little sluggish here and there. The alarm problems (which are not the fault of Toshiba) have been aggravating me, as well as the fact that not all applications fill the wonderful VGA display. Even though I have my gripes, just like I said in the first paragraph of this review, to get some things that you like, you have to live with some things that you don't. Right now, I'm dealing with the trade offs and have made this device my main brain for the foreseeable future.

I just got back from Circuit City

I just got back from Circuit City and looking at the e805... I am very impressed! I am very seriously considering purchasing this device. I need to do a little research on it... It all depends on how much more stuff I would have to buy to get it to the same point I am now with my Ipa 3835.
Vaja Case -- Need to look to see if they have cases for the Toshiba.
Software -- plenty of software (no problems here)
What else do I need to worry about so that I don't purchase this and have buyers remorse? :?

Let me know your opinion when you are done, I am going to CompUSA since I have a credit from a return and a new PDA sounds great.

Vaja Case -- Says coming soon on their website. (It also says $55)
and...I totally forgot about my stowaway keyboard.
I guess I could get the IR stowaway keyboard.
for about $70
So we're looking at an additional $125 above and beyond the cost of the PPC....Hmmmmmm :?

Will do. So far I'm impressed....I just have to figure out if I want to spend $675 (I'd have to flip alot of burgers, wash alot of cars and mow a bunch of lawns to get that! :P )

I forgot to mention

I forgot to mention that Circuit City is starting a $50 mail in rebate on Toshiba e805s starting tomorrow (Sunday 2/22). That's what sparked my interest......
