Another New (old) PDA Vendor -- IBM gets back in the ring.

Source: Tom's Hardware, Bargain PDA
From Tom's Hardware coverage of the Linuxworld 2004 conference saw IBM getting back into the PDA arena. What did you say? "Broil, when were they EVER in the PDA arena?" Well according to BargainPDA's article: IBM's not been a part of the PDA world since they sold the re-badged Palm m500/5 years ago.
Tom's Hardware is showing that big-money OEMs are adopting the linux platform and garnishing massive investments which are beginning to push Linux into the mainstream. For example, IBM touted a PDA prototype based on a Linux operating system and its PowerPC processor.
In hardware, IBM now has set stakes in Linux based servers, workstations and PDAs. A common, open-sourced Linux platform, IBM claims, is more conducive for the so-called pervasive computing concept where any and all electronics applications are linked and networked. But in addition to Linux, IBM is also quick to play up its PowerPC processor architecture and the role it will have in the non-PC revolution.

What do you think, is linux going to push WM2003 out the door?

Hmmmm! we have retro games now it looks like we have retro PDA's with brick like looks and poor resolution (or just poor photographers) :P .
Presently I'm not too exited about this device and will be holding on to my Ipaq .
