I found this interesting blurb from BargainPDA.com on a DIY 4GB compact flash drive for a PPC. 4 GB CompactFlash Microdrive for $199
Thanks to the vagaries of retail versus wholesale, you can now have a 4 GB CompactFlash microdrive for under $200. The normal retail price of this little gem is a whopping $500.
Go to Buy.com and search for Muvo2 4GB to find the Creative Muvo 4 GB MP3 player, priced at $198.82. You can disassemble the player by unscrewing the casing and extract a 4 GB Hitachi CompactFlash Type 2 Microdrive from inside. You may have to format the drive in your PocketPC with a utility like StorageTools or FlashFormat before it is usable.
Anything to save a buck! Cool. 8)

I was thinking about this mod and whether I'd do it or not. Seems like you might want to just leave it as an MP3 player. But on the other hand, 4 Gigs would be like 10+ full length movies
Anyone seriously thinking about doing this?
