An article on PCWorld reports that Sandisk 1GB SD cards will be hitting the shelves at the end of this month.
What can I do with 1GB? :P Well, 1GB, SD cards can hold up to 9 hours of MPEG-4 video, 16 hours of MP3s, or over 2000 JPEG photos shot at 1600 by 1200 resolution! DVD to PPC Here I come! :P

Even though Sandisk cards leave some things to be desired, that is a whopping chunk of memory there! I'll probably be one of the early adopters
PS. it's interesting to see that handheld devices these days can have more "Hard drive" space (CF, SD, etc) than our desktop computers from 1998! My PPC's processor is faster than some of the desktop computers on friend's home computers
