Hello. I have an Ipaq H5455, and I love it! I would like to watch movies on it...I have a 128MB SD card, and I sometimes put MP3's on it, but I heard you can rip DVD movies on your PC, then watch them on your PPC! How much space does that take up?! Is it possible?
Coincidentally, there is another thread running about putting movies on your Pocket PC. Is it possible? Yes it is
How much space? hard to tell. Every movie is of different length, and you throw in compression differentials and there is no real way of calculating them. One good rule of thumb I read once was plan on 100-120 MB per hour of good quality divx.
I am using DVD to PPC software and it works great... I am currently looking of a few SD cards with great speed and large size so I can bring along a few DVDs on the plane... only issue is the time to record, you have to play the complete DVD on your PC and then convert and copy over.
I didn't even think of the time it takes to record. If I had the time to record it, then I might as well watch the movie. Unless I run it while I'm sleeping. There has to be a better way.

Yeah, you gotta encode those things while you are asleep! Nobody encodes during the day...
