I have a Windows Mobile 6, Samsung 2442 model phone. Just last night the battery died on me after having not been able to charge it for a few days. When I got home and began to charge it, I tried to turn it on but it got stuck on the opening screen and simply won't load now.
I suspect the problem is with the battery, however I am not sure. I took the phone into the store today and they were no help at all. They had no idea what the problem was and told me that if they were to fix it I would lose all my data.
Anyone have any ideas what this problem might be and how I can fix it? Any similar experiences. Furthermore, if the phone itself is broken is there any possible way I can retrieve my address book??
After the battery is charged, take out the battery for a few minutes, then try to turn it on again... If successful, it would be helpful to do a soft reset as well.
But if you had already done so, then back to the drawing board....
