I have a Compaq Ipaq 3835 that i purchased (used) to see how I would like them. For the most part, I have it figured out but, I cant seem to connect it to my PC. When trying to connect using ActiveSync, it says "No Partnerships, You must establish a partnership with a desktop computer prior to running ActiveSync" When I connect to my laptop using the USB cable, my laptop sees it. In Device Manager, under USB it says Windows CE USB devices, expand that and it says Compaq Aero USB Sync. So why does the computer see it and the Ipaq doesnt? OR am I doing something wrong. There was no manual with the Ipaq when I bought it.
Sorry if I'm not smart enough to word this properly. I'm a voice guy not a data guy!
Well, let me tell you what should happen. The first time you connect your PPC to your PC Active Sync should start on both the PPC and PC. If you do not have a partnership set up (this is where Windows on the PC "recognizes" the device and knows what data to sync with) you should get a wizard that walks you through setting up a partnership. It sounds like you do not get the wizard? What version of AS?
