Dell Axim X51 expansion slot/memory..?

Ok according to the manual, I can use compact flash or regular SD RAM and can only go up to 2GB. Anyone have a work around to use larger cards? Can you combine compact flash AND SD cards? Just looking for some info on the subject..

I use a 4gig sd and a 4gig CF in mine, works fine.

X 2 , no issues with the above combo
and since I have a Hermes, my Axim serves as a full time GPS unit.
