rx3115 mysterious hard reset

Hi Forum.

I am in need of advice for my iPAQ rx3115.

After a few days of not being cradled my device would not start. OK. battery lost its charge.

When I put it on the cradle to recharge, it did a spontaneous hard reset! Now my calendar and contacts are gone along with my progs.

Why did this happen and is there a possibility of the data still being in the file store? I know, I know BACK UP! I do have a backup but it is not up to date.

Any help is very much appreciated.

If I am not wrong, this model runs on WM2003 or WM2003SE right? If that's the case, it will always hard reset when the battery is dead so be sure to always keep it charged.

This one runs WM2003SE. So that is the case.
I guess that I am SOL. Anything that was in RAM is GONE.

Does anyone know if there are hidden backups in the ROM?

No one wants to hear me whine about my old backups....but I would like to know if there is a chance however slim.

And thanks for the reply tariqbamadhaj.
