NEC MP 790 setup help

HALP... I bought an MP790 and am mostly lost.

It's running Windows PPC 2000 on a MIPS processor... I've been trying to install GAPI for it, but I've yet to be successful and have heard some sketchy rumors that it was only for ARM or SH3 procs...

I'm trying to get GAPI so that I can run some games on it and potentially watch movies/DivX on it.

I also bought the orig serial cable, and have a 2Gb CF card, but haven't gotten MS ActiveSync for it yet (not sure which version)...

Lastly, I have the WPC11 V.3 which is a wireless-B PC card. It's the latest version of the card with a chipset that works with the MPs. I was wondering if it was possible to get it to run on WPA secured networks. (Right now, I bring my own access-point to my office and just connected that into a DMZ plug on the switch...)

I'd appreciate any help... please... *puppy dog eyes *

Wow I am not sure even what you mean by that but I sure hope you get some help with it.

Just curious, why did you get an old Pocket PC?

Well, I chose to go with this one because it 1) has a full keyboard and 2) has just the right combination of functionality that I can do my work and old decrepitness that I can't play... well, too much. Plus, a $30 internet-enablable computer that I can carry around and boots instantly was just too much of a draw to not buy.
I'm kinda bummed that it didn't have USB, but the ones that did were a lot more expensive. Basically, I picked the top of the bottom line....

Ha, that almost sounds like I have a communicable skin disease... I know what you meant though...

But seriously, if you want more information about something, I can probably get it to your intelligently... or at least intelligibly.

At $30, it sure is a steal.

Well I am not sure about GAPI because I have no experience with it.

As for ActiveSync versions, I would recommend you go for something in the 3.x version since those support WiFi syncs. I think you should be able to use the latest version as well, as long as your serial connections have been set up properly.

With regards to your WLAN card, I checked online and it does support WPA though you would need additional drivers if you were running it on PC. I assume that this would also be the case for your Pocket PC.

Yes, but I couldn't find them. I know there are Windows 98/2k/xp WPA drivers, but I have yet to find PPC wpa drivers. PLUS, it's a MIPS appliance, which makes finding drivers and software that much harder.

Another option I've been looking at is getting an Ethernet card, then getting a wireless G bridge and powering it with a battery (internal or otherwise).

my options were/are:
Linksys WBP54G Wireless-G 802.11g Phone - CompUPlus Direct

or something similar...
Linksys Wireless Ethernet Bridge ( WET11 ) - Networking
