Hi people. Im new here and im also new the the whole PPC thing.
A friend of mine gave his old PPC which is HP/IPAQ 1910.
Now, i know its an old model, but i realy want it to have a GPS. I know theres no GPS antena inside, but i read that theres an option to put an exterior antena.
So basically i wanna know what are my options? can i put an exterior antena? does my PPC can even handle it or its a waste of time and money? if i can how much its gonna cost me?
if the IPAQ supports bluetooth.. you should be able to sync a Bluetooth GPS Receiver w/ it. depending on the model and such... anywhere from $50+. then the second thing you need to look at.. is a GPS program. theres Pocket Streets, Tom Tom 6, iGuidance... and what you do is install the program to the ipaq... and the maps on a large SD/micro/mini-sd card.. i recommend a 2-gig.. any larger and the ipaq may not be able to utilize the storage space.
google the ipaq 1910 for the specs.. to see the processor speed and ram/rom.. to see what you have to work with.. then go from there.
