Until now, I was using a Qtek 2020i. And with it, a typical GPS device connecting via bluetooth (Best Buy). No problems at all.
But when I wanted to use the GPS device with the Touch, I could not connect devices. HTC searches for bluetooth devices, and detects it. I choose to connect via serial port, and when I do so, a LED in the GPS that indicates if there is a bluetooth connection, goes on.
On next step, HTC asks for password for the GPS device. GPS manual user says to enter 0000 on the first time, and I did so (All this time, GPS Led is on). After a while, PDA returns following message : "Cant estabilsh connection, or password is incorrect". I press OK. After that, PDA is "thinking" almost a minute, and the led is still on. When the pda finishes and returns to bluetooth devices screen, led finally goes off.
I dont know what else to do. Can anyone help? Any assistance will be very appreciated. Thanks in advance
PS: I also tried with password '1234', but was unsuccesful.
try calling customer service, its probably something wrong with the touch, probably a firewall that is intervening with the gps software so the gps cant connect via bluetooth. also make sure you have blue tooth enabled *(you probably already do but it still could happen)
