does anyone know who i can free up some program memory i have a tmobile wing and a total of 43.87MB and only 3.08MB free i cant use the camera because of memory how can i upgrade the memory or free up memory also i have NO PROGRAMS running at this point and time please help!!!
You may also have built up files in the temp and internet cache areas. These folders are not self-cleaning, even when the files have gotten old, and if you use the device browser at all these folders can become quite bloated. There are several apps out there that can automate the trash cleanup process for you; I have been very pleased with MemMaid and highly recommend it.

I concur on MemMaid Yankeejeep, a question for you. I am far from an expert on how WM handles memory. The reason I did not suggest cleaning old files was that the user said he had 43.87 MB free. I assume that is storage memory and so it must be pretty clean. Assuming that is true, is there any impact to program memory from the junk files?
While we would all expect apps like IE to release whatever program memory has been used for active browsing when they are closed, that is not actually the way it typically functions. But you did point out the biggest problem: apps that either do not release resources when they close or that do not actually close but simply slip into the background and remain open for quick access. I also use DinarSoft's HandySwitcher and have used it to reset the default 'X' button behavior from minimize to close. There are a number of free task managers that add this capability (pBar comes immediately to mind, but there are a number of others), but I have come to appreciate the general quality of DinarSoft's apps and trust them to work with no major compatability issues.
WM is actually counterintuitive in this memory handling matter for desktop Windows users as we have become accustomed to the 'X' being the close button, but not so in WM. Most users don't realize that their memory and resources are still occupied by these open-but-minimized apps and their tag-along temp and cache children until the execution memory is mysteriously full. I really appreciate the Quick Cleaner feature of MemMaid that can close all open apps and recover RAM they were tying up in addition to cleaning out temp and cache folders.
I forgot all about the "X" no closing programs. I use iLauncher as my task manager and have truly closed programs for so long I forgot about this. You're right, that can drain memory fast. Of course Windows will shut them down as needed to preserve memory.
thanks for the information guys i turned off my wing and then back on and bam i had 12mb of program memory is this about average or should i still get something like magic button???
Personally, I am a fan of memory managers whether magic button or a paid program. Even with one, you will still find you need the occassional soft reset. 12 sounds a little low (I start at about 19), but is a factor of what your device has to begin with and how much storage you are using.
