Trouble Re-installing an SDIO WI-FI card

Hello Everyone,

This is my first post on the forum so I hope it's in the right place.

I'm having trouble re-installing my Ambicom WL-11 SDIO wi-fi card (rev 2.5). I'm running an HP 1945 and Windows XP Pro (now).

Here's the story...
I orginially used my former workstation (Dell w/Win2k) to install the card. That workstation bit the dust and is gone. My PPC sat for awhile and both batteries died and so I lost everything not backed up. So I charge the HP and attempt to re-install the card when I get an error. I get the error whether or not I'm connected to my work network. So far Ambicom's response has been to do a hard reset and re-install the driver (I don't think they actually read my e-mail).

Here's the error message:
"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again or enter an alternate to a folder containing the installation package 'Ambicom WL-11SD for Windows Mobile.msi' in the box below."

Anybody got any ideas?
TIA
-ashley

I would follow Ambicom's suggestion if I were you. Since you haven't used your device for a while and that it was connected to another PC before, it's a good reason to restore to factory defaults and start over again.
