Question ppc 6700 won't power on

My ppc 6700 phone won't power on anymore and I don't know why, the battey is good and it hasn't been dropped or wet or anything like that, when I try to charge it all I get is a red led light on the top of the phone for about 5 or six minutes then nothing, this just happened out of nowhere I used my phone to make a call one afternoon put it down, took a nap and when I woke up and went to use it to place another call it was just dead.

Have you tried doing a reset? If a soft reset doesn't work, you may need to try a hard reset. I would try these in that order before suspecting a hardware issue.

You might also try removing the battery and then reinserting it. Strange things can cause the RAM program area to corrupt and it may be as simple as needing to do the equivalent of a desktop PC's three-finger salute (i.e. a warm reboot) so the OS ROM gets read back into executable memory.
