at&t 8525 GPS question

hey guys here's my question, i'm going abroad to Europe come Saturday for a couple months, and I just got the 8525. I know it can do GPS with a bluetooth peripheral, but most of these seperate bluetooth GPS devices seem to be made for directions and what not and have somewhere around an 8-10 hour battery life. I just want a GPS I can stick somewhere so I can just log where I go on Google Earth or for geotagging, I couldn't care less about directions or anything like that, but for example if I went on a trip to a foreign country I'd like to be able to just leave it on and be able to log where I am for the duration, or even just when I when I take a picture or what not. Anyone know of something like this? Thanks.

I do Geocaching - The Official Global GPS Cache Hunt Site from time to time and use BeeLineGPS BeeLineGPS™ for the software side and have a SysOnChip Smart Blue Mini GPS ::: ÁÖ½Äȸ»ç ½Ã½º¿ÂĨ ::: which has the Sirf III chipset making it very accurate and also meaning you get a good fix in urban canyons and under tree cover. Hope this answers your question well enough.
