hi my dopod 818pro has crashed, when i switch it on now it says Dopod and then the screen goes completely white. i have tried a soft and a hard reset and the problem is still there. i only bought the phone about 5 weeks ago so i think i am going to have to send it back to the shop for it to be repaired . i havent dropped or damaged it i think its a software problem, does anyone have any advice? i have tried with it plugged into the charger as well but its the same problem.
Try removing the battery for an hour. If that does not help, then, as you said, take it back for repairs. Since this is new device, i advise you take it back.

I too have the same machine, check with your authorized service center, may be, as i had the issue, the mother board is fused, you need a change. Hurry man, if you are into a service warrenty.
Mine is working fine after MB and screen change (screen needs to be changed as the screen is caliberated with MB).
