Extended battery loses 50% of its capacity

Hello,
Recently I bought an extended battery from thepocketsolution.com
However, the charge never reaches higher than 50% It just stops charging at 50% sometimes 51 or 52% and as a result, when watching movies on my pocket pc, it doesn't last more than 90 minutes.
I googled and it turned out there was a similar problem with extended battery for the hx4000 series and there was a fix for that. But there seems to be no fix for the hx2410. I tried hard resetting. Still doesn't work.
I am at a loss as to what to do now. I don't want to buy another extended battery (yet).
Please help me, if you can. Thank you very much.

Seems the battery is faulty. You should look for a replacement.

i would say that the problem lies within your phones settings, it is proably sensing that the battery is charged full through a charging settin in the reg since you said that it stops at the same point each time, the fix for the other device could probably be applied to your phone as well. the battery is being checked by the phone to see what the amperage is reading at at any given time, so if it is reading a higher amperage then that is basically telling the phone hey i am charged go ahead and deactivate the charger...

Thank you for the replies, guys. The folks at pocketsolution also said that it's a common problem with hp ipaq. I tried to find the fix for the other model but it's not available for download anymore This is really sad because every night I lie awake and read ebooks on my ppc and sometimes I'd read for 3 hours before I can finally sleep.
Maybe I'll just buy another extended battery and see how its turns out.
