replace it...your stuck...thats it...that is why the tell you of the risks...
you can try and call your carrier and tell them that you were trying to install a ROM update for the device, for WM5 that is, and see if they would replace the phone that way....
all i did wuz flash the default HTC Wizard rom (i downloaded it frm tha HTC America site) then after A LOT of reading i flashed my new rom to tha device.
not many ppl realize that tha 3 color screen iz just bootloader mode (myself included for a while). doesnt mean ur trapped in paper weight mode
i came accross the same error my self at one point that is why i was wondering what the solution was, luckily i have alot of connections in the cell phone world being as i work at best buy so i got my phone replaced in 10 min
