Hi, i currently have a Nokia 6230 w/ a $19.99 unlimited dataplan with Cingular (now AT&T). I am looking into getting a pocket PC type phone, like the cingular 8125. I see the dataplans include my $19.99 dataplan, but a pocket pc plan is more like $29.99 and $39.99. My question is, if i get a new phone, and want to keep my unlimited dataplan, will the $19.99 plan work, or will they make me upgrade to the more expensive plan?
They will try their best to sell you a pda package, They get paid based on the plan they sell. Only down side of 19.95 plan is only limited text / emails. I got the 39.95 unlimited plan and kept it for a week the called and changed to data plan...unlimited internet

I understand that, however, i currently have the $19.99 plan and i can connect to web pages through the phone as well as tether it to a PDA or laptop and get online. Does this change if i had the $19.99 plan w/ the new phone?
AT&T is the most screwed up cell phone company I have used. I upgraded to a 8525 and via my account features page, the only plans offered are media.net based plans. My phone is a "personal" phone but purchased through a corporate sponsored account. If (and only if) I go into the corporate support page can I even see the PDA data plans. So, I use the media max 200 and if they complain that I should be using one of the more expensive PDA plans, I will point out that I cannot order it from my account feature page. BTW, don't plan to make a data connection from Boulder, Colorado ... I was there this weekend and could fetch any web pages.
--- Minor update: The data network outage on AT&T in Boulder was apparently a wide spread outage that affected the western half of the US. Wonder if all the new iPhone users are pushing the network to the "edge" so-to-speak!
